Lee Watson will manage the newly-formed Bespoke Service division at Roman’s recently opened dedicated Design Centre. Lee initially joined Roman as a design engineer for its standard products and has quickly progressed through the company following courses in Autodesk Inventor 3D Design Software and Solidworks 3D Design Software. He is currently studying for an NC in Engineering.

Roman’s Bespoke Service offers solutions to the most challenging home design problems, such as fitting a shower enclosure into a small cupboard space under the stairs, or perhaps a Hinged or Bi-fold door to cover an unusually shaped alcove. Projects commissioned so far have even included the design and installation of a showering area in a lighthouse!

Customers can call Roman for a Bespoke information pack, which can be used to take measurements enabling the designers to offer a solution complete with costs.

Roman has a dedicated team of four full-time engineers working on new products at the company’s headquarters, which has its own testing area.

The team have recently designed the Roman Sculptures Range, a collection of frameless enclosures which sit at the very top end of the market.

The styling and features of this new collection are a first for the UK shower market. All Roman Sculptures products have 10mm thick toughened glass, and are located together by unobtrusive chrome plated brass joints, then finished with an efficient sealing system utilising a clear water-resistant sealant.

Roman’s Design Manager, Chris Ward, said: “With so many people now carrying out home makeovers, rather than moving house, our Bespoke Service has been inundated with requests for assistance and orders for our enclosures. Lee has a lot of experience in this area and will develop this specialist side of the business, which is now becoming a division in its own right. Roman’s teams of designers are always looking at new and exciting ideas to keep us at the cutting edge of designs for the bathroom industry.“
