Roman Waterfall Valves Labelled Water Efficient

Roman Waterfall valves come complete with flow regulators, which restrict the water flow to an economic rate of 11 litres per minute. This economic flow rate has earned the valves approval with the BMA labelling scheme.

The Water Efficient Product Labelling Scheme has been developed by the Bathroom Manufacturers Association (BMA). The aim of the scheme is to raise awareness of bathroom products that, if installed and used correctly, will use less water whilst delivering the showering experience that the consumer has come to expect.

In order to achieve the BMA Water Efficient label products are tested to ensure they meet the criteria for water efficient products as defined by technical experts within the UK bathroom industry.

As well as being water efficient, Roman Waterfall valves are also a modern style statement. There are a range of options available from single function drencher-head showers, to multi-function valves complete with a drencher-head, multimode hand-shower and body-jets, for the ultimate in luxury.

The valves are also thermostatic in line with anti-scald legislation. They regulate the water temperature to +/- 1°C and feature an instant shut-off mechanism should the hot or cold water supply fail. They are also factory set to a safe maximum operating temperature of 43°C.

David Osborne, Roman’s Managing Director, comments: “The BMA have only just launched their water labelling scheme and we are very proud to be one of the first companies to have our products labelled water efficient. Roman are 100% behind the BMA’s labelling scheme and we believe being water efficient is an important issue. Hopefully this labelling scheme will highlight to consumers, retailers and manufacturers alike, the importance of being water efficient. We believe that water efficiency will quickly become a key criteria for purchasing in the consumers’ mind.”
