Sleep 08 marked the first official showing of Roman’s brand new Sculptures Sliding Door, which was extremely well received by all. The luxury enclosure is ideal for exclusive projects. It features 10mm thick glass and is completely frameless. The enclosure was showcased with a stunning optic light tray to suit, for the ultimate in spa-like ambience.
Another key talking point on the stand was Roman’s solid surface, luxury panelling system, Roman Wall. Roman Wall is a true alternative to tiling and is available in 4 stone effect finishes: Sandstone, Limestone, Marble and Granite. It is easy to install and maintain, eliminating grouting that can mould or discolour over time – making it ideal for the hotel situation.
Also extremely well received was Roman’s wetroom tanking system, Roman Shield. Roman Shield is an easy to use system which makes the installation of a wetroom a simple process. Wetrooms are a key trend for luxury hotels, as a result the system received a great deal of interest over the 2 day show.
Roman also gave visitors to their stand a sneak preview of a stylish champagne cooler for the bathroom. The cooler is compatible for installation on a straight wall or in a corner situation – allowing it to be positioned above the bath. The perfect addition for a honeymoon or luxury suite, the champagne cooler is set to launch in 2009.
Other items on display included the Sculptures Hinged Door enclosure which features 10mm thick glass and minimalist framing. This was showcased with Roman’s Universal Overhead Valve, a stylishly minimal valve which is compatible for use with a range of different enclosures and wetroom panels, and creates the look of integrated water delivery.
Roman also presented a number of shower baskets and shower valves, along with over-bath showering solutions for that smaller suite.

Roman Wall in particular, was extremely well received as this is ideal for the hotel situation, where easy maintenance is vital. Roman offers something for every hotel, no matter what their budget and space restrictions – Sleep really gives us the opportunity to showcase this.”
